EP Artwork – Carl

So, if you are anything like me, having no artwork on itunes/media player would drive you insane. It is with this reasoning that I have loaded the artwork up in our ‘Releases’ tab. ¬†Feel free to copy that lovely piece of artwork once you have ripped our EP (that we are currently giving away totally free) to your PC or MAC.

I am too kind to you people. Must be this Christmas bug I hear going round ūüôā

New Camera High!! – Carl.

So I am going on Holiday next month for 3 weeks to a beautiful country. I don’t really need to buy any new clothes for it really. Got enough shorts and t-shirts to last a lifetime. However, I was given a voucher for lomography.com for my birthday and have been struggling trying to decide what to spend it on. I was going to get ¬£50 worth of film, but felt like it wasn’t really a wise thing to do.

A week ago I had a brain wave. I should get an underwater camera so that I can go to the beach and take sweet shots. I finally got round to buying my camera today. I got a fisheye 2 plus the waterproof casing. I also treated myself to 3 rolls of film. Total cost to me £43. A saving of like £73 as it was a bundle deal, plus I had some piggies to spend (lomography website term)

I have also been playing my guitar recently. I have totally fallen in love with playing CKY riffs. So much fun. Plus, great little finger work outs as they have big stretches in the songs.

I have also got some really great shots back that I am very proud of. I will save those for another day though.

One other thing. How do people blog daily!! Seriously, my life is pretty busy and I don’t even do that much!! Madness. I shall re-focus myself on blogging again. I realise that we have had a lull in posts and this is not acceptable! I can only¬†apologise. ¬†:p

Catch you on the flip side.

A Happy Sadness – Carl.

So today would’ve been a day filled with joy. Instead that joy has been very much overshadowed by sadness. I am not really one for sharing my soul on the internet, but someone very close to me is now lay in a hospital bed recovering from a serious car accident. I can’t visit at it happened in another country. Which makes it worse.

I had made plans to go to see one of my favourite bands of the moment. Twin Atlantic. I am still going to go, as I know that my friend wouldn’t want me to sit around being sad when we were both so excited for this day.

It’s just odd to be excitedly sad and I felt like I had to get it off my chest. There have been a lot of negative things happen around me and the band, but as always, it’s better to look forward and to brighter days. So I just leave you with these words.

Bones may break, but bones will heal.

People may leave, but they leave the door open for new ones to enter.

Sadness is the contrast that enables happiness to exist.

My beautiful City – Carl.

One of my favourite cities in the UK also happens to be the city that is closest to me and I have lived in. Now, before you start to think that the reason for this is because I haven’t spent much time in other cities, I will mention the fact that I had a 2 year relationship with a girl who lived in Newcastle and I often pop over to Leeds and Sheffield. I just really love what Manchester has to offer. Continue reading

Plans for an overcast Monday – Carl.

Plans for an overcast Monday – Carl.

My day was all planned out for me today, but as we all know, even the best laid plans of mice and men go wrong. Although, mine didn’t really go wrong, I just decided to skip over a plan or two.

My day should’ve¬†started out with an early morning of climbing and then onto Manchester. However, I forfeited the early morning start for a gigantic lie in. I had been crashing on sofas since Thursday night and Sunday was a return to my bed. I did not want to leave my bed!

The next part of my Monday plan came together though. Rather surprisingly. It was meeting Ade¬†in Manchester to pick up some stuff and generally just hang out. I actually managed to meet on time and we had a rather nice day sampling the beers in various pubs around the city, with a little wallet shopping thrown in for good measure¬†(albeit window shopping as I didn’t find a single wallet I liked)

Back home now and time to unwind. I think my plan for the rest of the week is gonna be a more ‘see where the wind takes me’ kind of vibe. Hopefully will get a nice sunny day so I can finish off my roll of film. Weekend brings me and Whisky to¬†a stag do and the rest of the guys in the band to a gig, so a great weekend for everyone! Roll on Friday!!
