A new video…

So some considerable time ago, Carl and I (roping Matt and Whiskey in at rehearsal) spent a day recording some footage with the intention of making a video. Carl has now edited a final version – so thank you to him! Please have a look and let us know what you think, this reminds me of some good times!

We are still alive! – Carl.

Things might appear a little barren around these here internet parts lately. Do not fret though. We are still very much going. It’s hard to describe what we are at the moment. It’s not a break, its a pause due to outside influences. If that sounds too cryptic I shall put it another way.
Adrian is in the Isle of Man doing some teacher stuff. So its a bit hard to function without our singer/guitarist. We don’t lend ourselves to 20 minute instrumental songs really.
That being said, if you do live on the Isle of Man, keep your eyes and ears peeled for Adrian doing some solo stuff over there. He has his guitar!
When I have enough money (curse you Christmas shopping) myself and Whisky will head into the studio to finish our parts for our debut album.
Anyhow, that’s all for now.

Peace, love and unity. X

New Camera High!! – Carl.

So I am going on Holiday next month for 3 weeks to a beautiful country. I don’t really need to buy any new clothes for it really. Got enough shorts and t-shirts to last a lifetime. However, I was given a voucher for lomography.com for my birthday and have been struggling trying to decide what to spend it on. I was going to get £50 worth of film, but felt like it wasn’t really a wise thing to do.

A week ago I had a brain wave. I should get an underwater camera so that I can go to the beach and take sweet shots. I finally got round to buying my camera today. I got a fisheye 2 plus the waterproof casing. I also treated myself to 3 rolls of film. Total cost to me £43. A saving of like £73 as it was a bundle deal, plus I had some piggies to spend (lomography website term)

I have also been playing my guitar recently. I have totally fallen in love with playing CKY riffs. So much fun. Plus, great little finger work outs as they have big stretches in the songs.

I have also got some really great shots back that I am very proud of. I will save those for another day though.

One other thing. How do people blog daily!! Seriously, my life is pretty busy and I don’t even do that much!! Madness. I shall re-focus myself on blogging again. I realise that we have had a lull in posts and this is not acceptable! I can only apologise.  :p

Catch you on the flip side.

Productive day – Carl.

Productive day – Carl.

What a way to start the day. Up bright and early for once to get down to the studio to get some drum tracks down for our album. Somehow managed to get 3 musicians up before midday, a miracle in itself!

Arrived at the studio, had a brew and then set up to record. The day went so much better than anticipated. 12 drum tracks down in 4 hours, and probably half the bass tracks are keepers too. Not bad at all. Had an incredibly enjoyable day. Also snapped some pics with my friends Zenit EM slr, just have to finish the roll off and then I can share with the world the pictures I snapped. Long live film! Nothing beats the excitement of seeing your pictures the first time when you get them back from the camera store. Ade also snapped some on his Olympus OM10, which a beautiful slr film camera.

After finishing at the studio myself and Ade had a nice little jam back at our rehearsal place and then hit the pub for a wind down/general chill out. All in all a great day.

Back home now listening to The Arcade Fire 🙂 Perfect end to a fantastic day!
